Manathakali Kurma
Keerai Kurma best served with Rice
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add Finely Cut Onions (1-2). Fry for a couple of minutes
- Add Water from soaked Rice
- Pressure Cook it
Coconut Paste
- Grind Dried Red Chillies (2), Cumin Seeds (1 tsp), Peppercorn (1/2 tsp), Coconut (4 tbsp)
- Add Coconut Paste to Keerai
- Add Tamarind Juice (3 tsp)
- Temper with Karuvadagam and Dried Red Chillies
Notes
Variation: Manathakali Soup
- Cook Keerai, Onions and Tomatoes in a pan.
- Once Cooked, add ground Pepper and Cumin
- Add Little Coconut Milk
- Season with Cinnamon and Cloves
