Mutton Kulambu

Mutton curry coated with fresh ground ingredients served with thosai, chapthai or rice

Instructions

  • Fry the following: Coriander seeds (2 tsp), cumin (1 tsp), pepper (1 tsp), fennel (1/2 tsp), cinnamon, cloves, dried red chili (7-8). Once well fried, add coconut for 1 more minute. Grind
  • Fry small onions (10-15), ginger, garlic, tomato (1). Grind. Mix with the above powder to a fine paste.
  • Heat oil, add fennel, curry leave, green chili (2), small onions (about 5-8), add muton (1 kg)
  • Once well fried, add turmeric and salt for further 2 minutes
  • Add ground masala and water. Pressure cook
  • Garnish with coriander leaves
