Singapore Chilli Crab
Famous Singaporean Chilli Crab served with Mantou Buns
Instructions
- Finely chop – Garlic (10), Lemongrass (5 sticks), Kafir Lime Leaves (4-5)Slice Fresh Red Chillies (6) into round circles
- Stir Fry the above till fragrant
- Add Crab Shell and Crab Body (leave the claws till the end). Add Fermented Soyabean paste (taucu) and crab paste if you can get it
- Pour Linghams Chilli Sauce (1 bottle), Fish Sauce (2 tbsp), Tamarind Water (300 ml)
- Simmer for 15 mins
- Add Crab Claws and cook further for 5 mins
- Once Crab is cooked, add Cornflour (1 tbsp) to thicken the sauce.
- Add beaten egg (1)
- Garnish with Coriander Leaves and serve with Deep Fried Mantou Buns
