Tomato Soup

Tomato Rasam best served with Rice

Instructions

  • Grind Tomatoes (3)
  • Heat Oil in a pan. Add Cinnamon Stick and Cloves (2)
  • Add finely chopped Onions (1/2) and Crushed Garlic (3)
  • Add slit Green Chillies (2) and Curry Leaves
  • Add ground Tomatoes. Cook for 10 minutes and remove from heat
  • Add Water from Soaked Rice. Cook for 10 minutes and remove from heat
  • Add crushed Cumin and Peppercorn spice mixture
  • Add Tamarind or Lemon Juice and sugar
  • Mix altogether and heat the soup. Boil till it froths up
  • Add little Coconut Milk and Coriander Leaves
