Roti Jala

Malaysian Crepe served with Malaysian Curry

Instructions

  • Mix Plain flour (1kg), Salt, Coconut Milk (4 to 6 cups), Yellow Colour Powder (optional), Egg (1 – optional).
    Note: Evaporated Milk can be substituted for Coconut Milk or a combination of both.
  • Blend the above mixture till smooth. Consistency should be like single cream. Add more Coconut Milk if required.
  • Mix little butter and oil in a small bowl. Set aside.
  • Pour the mixture in a bowl. Use Roti Jala cup strainer and spread like a crepe in a hot pan.
  • Dip the oil and butter mix on the crepe using pandan leaves preferably.
  • After a couple of minutes, fold the crepe into a triangle and remove
  • Serve hot with Malaysian Curry
