Cabbage and Green Mochai Fry
Typical South Indian Traditional Side Dish
Instructions
- Boil Green Mochai (Fresh and not the Dried Mochai). Remove Skin once cooked
- Cut Cabbage lengthwise and 1/2 cook this separately
- In a pan, dry fry little coriander seeds and coarsely grind it. Set aside
- In a pan, heat Oil and add Cumin Seeds
- Add Onion (1) and Tomato (1) and Fry
- Once cooked, add the half cooked cabbage
- Add Chilli Powder, Coriander Powder, Ginger/Garlic Paste, Turmeric and Salt
- Once the spices are cooked through, add Green Mochai and Fry well
- Add the coarsely ground coriander seeds to the vegetables
Notes
Add more onions and tomatoes if more gravy is needed
