Author: Vadi

Instructions

  • Mix All purpose flour (1 cup), Baking Soda (1/4 tsp), Salt (1/4 tsp), Sugar (1/4 tsp), Room temperature Yogurt (1/4 cup), Oil (1-1/2 tsp), Warm water (1/4 cup)
  • Add Room temperature Yogurt (1/4 cup), Oil (1-1/2 tsp oil). Add Warm Water (1/4 cup) gradually to make into a soft dough but not sticky. Knead the flour on a lightly floured surface, knead the dough well. Apply oil to the dough and cover. Let the dough sit for about 3 hours in warm place. Dough should rise. Knead the dough again on floured surface. Divide the dough in 4 parts, lightly roll into the flour , cover the balls and let it sit for about 5 mins before rolling.
  • Roll the naan one at a time. Sprinkle water lightly on one side of the naan
  • Heat a tawa. Put water side of the naan on the tawa. Once the naan starts bubbling , turn the tawa over the direct flame. (Naan will stick to the tawa – so do not use non-stick)
Once naan has browned , remove and spread Butter-Coriander-finelly chopped green chillies on top
