Boil Chana Dal (1 cup) till soft. Grind it coarsely. Set aside
Grind Coconut (1). Set aside
Heat Jaggery till it melts. Strain
Heat the strained Jaggery and add Chana Dal, Coconut and Salt. Cook till dry. Set aside
Mix Plain flour, Orange Food Colour Powder and Bicarbonate Soda. Add Water and Gingelly oil. Knead to a smooth dough
Cover and leave for at least an hour
Take a small portion of the dough and roll it into a ball
Spread the ball on a banana leaf. Extra oil should help it spread easily on the leaf
Take some Jaggery-Coconut mixture and place it in the middle of the ball. Roll it into a ball again and spread it out so that the mixture is evenly distributed
Heat pan. Place the Boli on the hot pan and cook on both sides.
