Spice mix used for tempering

Instructions

  • Cut small onions into small pieces (4 cups)
  • Fill 1 cup with
    Mustard Seeds (1/3 cup), Urid Dall (1/3 cup), Fennel (handful), Cumin (1/4 cup), Fenugreek (small handful)
  • Crush Garlic (3/4 cup)
  • Cut Curry Leaves into small pieces (1 cup)
  • Mix Small Onions, Turmeric Powder and Salt in a bowl
  • Take a bigger bowl and spread the above mixture. Press it and leave it for a while
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and mix. Spread it out
  • Add caster oil (100g) and roll into small balls
  • Leave them out in the sun for about 10/15 days. Each day roll it again. It is ready when ball is completely dry
