Chicken Curry for Chapathi
Thick Coconut Based Chicken Gravy
Instructions
- Add Oil in Pan. Add Coarsely Ground Small Onions (1 cup). Cook till it is slightly brown.
- Add Ginger-Garlic, Pepper Powder (2 tsp), Poppy Seeds (ground), Fennel Seeds Powder. Cook for a couple of minutes.
- Add Chilli Powder, Little Coriander Powder, Turmeric Powder. Cook further 5 minutes.
- Add Chicken. Cook till it is nicely coated with the masala.
- Add Thin Coconut Milk and little Tamarind. Simmer till Chicken is cooked.
- Temper with Cinnamon, Fennel Seeds, Small Onions
- Lastly add Thick Coconut Milk, Coriander Leaves. Lemon Juice (Optional)
Tried the chicken curry yesterday and it was yummy. Didn’t notice the author until after we finished eating. Nagalakshmi periamma’s recipe – take a bow ♂️- name says it all!!!
Thensithi must have mentioned my typo in the recipe. I mentioned Tamarind 2x but I have corrected it now.
