Soak about 1/2 cup of Mochai Kottai (Lima Beans) Overnight. Cook it till it is soft. Set Aside
Soak Dried Anchovies (1/4 cup or more if needed) for a couple of hours. Wash and Drain
Soak Tamarind (lime sized) for 15 minutes. Get Pulp and Set Aside
In a Mud Pot (if available) or in a heavy based pan, add Karuvadagam. (If unavailable, add mustard Seeds and Dried Red Chillies). Note Karuvadagam adds extra flavour to the dish
Add Curry Leaves, Onions (1). Fry till soft
Add Chopped Garlic (3)
Add Garlic (3) and Peppercorn (1 tsp) (both Coarsely ground)
Add Chilli Powder (3 - 4 tsp), Coriander Powder (3 tsp), Turmeric Powder (1 tsp)
Add little water and fry for a couple of minutes
Add Anchovies and Small Brinjal (2). Fry for a couple of minutes
Add Tomatoes (2). Fry till Tomatoes are soft
Add Drumstick (1-2), Cooked Mochai Kottai, Raw Banana (1-2)
Cook for a couple of minutes
Add Tamarind Pulp, Salt and little Sugar
Add water and Cook till all the vegetable are cooked and the gravy is thick
Taste better overnight
